What is the best place to build your own web site?

And it is free too.

Blogger.com
Webs.com
weebly.com
ning.com
wordpress.com

In my point of view best is blogger and weebly but all website have their own software. If you want to learn xhtml and php so make your website in rosenhost.info. Rosenhost didn’t insert any ad in your website and gives you 300mb space with 2 databases. Here my website for your demonstration.

    Your own hard drive.

I can run my own Apache server and other web servers if I want. It helps that I have an extra computer or two or three to run servers on and a good understanding of Linux. This allows me to test things and be sure everything works as it should. Then, once I like the changes and they have been tested, I simply FTP the files to the web server. In some cases I may only need to upload a few files. Another up side to doing things this way is that you always have a local backup should the sever lose your files.

Publishing your website so that others may view it could be a different story. Any of several web servers both free and for various monthly fees are available. Be sure and review the limitations of any of the free servers before signing up. I suggest researching with Google and other search tools to find out as much as you can about potential servers.
